Holly Barker, a junior at Trabuco Hills High in California, placed second in the Division 1 girls final by covering the 5-kilometer layout in 17:05.0 at Woodward Park in Fresno at the CIF State Cross Country Championships. Barker, who took third in Division 4 last year racing for Laguna Hills High and clocking 17:43.7, helped Trabuco Hills place third overall as a team with 76 points.
